Since 2004, Lenticular Research Group, LLC (“LRG” or “the company”), has been pursuing a new approach to effectively address two of the most predominant eye-related maladies, presbyopia and cataracts. Thus far, LRG has been awarded two patents in furtherance of its development and has six more patents applied for and pending approval. In addition, it is fully expected that additional patents will emerge from continuing research efforts.

Keeping You Current

Accomplishments: LRG has completed a study to determine the appropriate parameters for our animal work. We have been able to derive wavelength, energy level (sub-injury response threshold), laser pulse rate and pulse duration.

Next goal: To determine our ability to treat the target cells on the lens and to knock out the proteins for cellular mitosis. This is essential in our goal to alter lens growth. This study should begin in June, 2012.
